Your life is someone else's dream!

One day Ashish came back from school and eagerly asked “Dad, can I get new shoes? I want to participate in the race which will be held day after tomorrow at school". Ahmed looked at the boy and smiled "Dear Son, I will do everything I can do for you. I will buy new shoes for you tomorrow" Ashish ran into the field and hopped with joy. It was like he found a treasure. Ahmed looked up and thought to himself, “How will I live up to the promise I made to my son. I do not have a single penny”

Ahmed’s family was very poor and he sold kites for their survival. He looked for the savings pot his wife left behind before she died of an ailment. She used to skip her one time meal and save the extra penny into the savings pot. However, he found the pot broken and recalled that he used up all the money to pay for his son’s school this year. Tears rolled down from a father’s eyes who loved his son deeply but could not fulfill his one small, innocent wish.

Next day, Ahmed woke up early in the morning. He packed his bag and gathered a bunch of kites. In the scorching heat, bare foot, he started walking towards the city. He prayed to God, “Please help me today, so I can gather enough money to pay for my son’s shoes”. The sun shined bright on his face. His feet were seared but his heart was on fire. Having spent a day in the city, no one cared to buy kites from him. People ridiculed him for using up their sidewalk to carry out his old fashioned trade. He was starving all day and was disappointed in a city where white collar jobs were profound and layman jobs were looked down.

With a heavy heart, he picked up the kites and made his way back.

On the way back to his village, a man came up to him and asked, “Do you sell these kites?” Ahmed said “Yes, would you like to buy one?” The man said “Yes, I would like to buy all of them.” Ahmed was startled. “Sir, are you sure you want to buy all the kites?” The man said “Yes, I work in a school and I would like the students to fly these kites. I want to illustrate them outside the books and look outside the window to dream higher in life, even sky is not the limit” Ahmed was astounded. He sold all the kites to this man. He earned enough money to buy shoes for his son’s race. He directly went to the store and bought a lovely pair of shoes. His heart was overjoyed but his body was weak this time as he made his way back to the village”

Ashish opened the door “Son, here’s your shoes, your father wanted them to be sent to you today itself” Ashish said “Thanks uncle, but where is my dad?”  His uncle said “I’m sorry son. He is no more. On his way back, he collapsed. We never knew that he suffered from Cancer for a very long time. He never told us. We asked him why he did not get treated and he said, your future was more vital to him and he did not want to burden you with any debts incurred from his treatment, this is the least he could do for you” Ashish broke into tears as he looked at the shoes bought by a father who loved him more than his own sufferings and life.

Sometimes, we forget to be thankful to God for what we have and stop complaining about what we don’t have. Sometimes, we forget to thank those around us who are struggling each day and working hard just to see a smile on our face.

Your life is someone else’s dream. Live it gratefully.

Secrets of a Confident Woman

Sitting across the School hallway, sipping up a coffee and watching snow outside the window, I scribbled these words in my notepad.

Life can be harsh at times. It will throw many bricks at you. How do you react to them? Complain about the wounds or use the same bricks under your feet and step up?

Love. No matter what happens, love unconditionally. Believe that you are loved. Your past can be your greatest educator. People in this world need love. They are void and empty inside. They are seeking for help. Be a soothing balm in this broken world because all they need is an act of love.

Smile, well that's all you need to carry with yourself. A confident woman always have her head held high and she has a smile as mysterious as Sphinx. Well, why is she smiling always? Doesn't she have problems? family? critics? stress? Probably all of them but your attitude will define who you are.

Positivism. Look at the mirror and call yourself beautiful. It doesn't matter what others think or what opinions they have about you. at the end of the day, your happiness depends on you. Being positive is a choice you make. If you choose to be happy, nobody can steal your joy. When situations are not pleasant, you may get stressed but think about this, what good can worrying do for you? Instead smile and talk positive over your situations. You have the power to be happy. Make someone happy who is feeling worse than you today. What goes around, comes around.

Refuse to live in Fear: Fear of future causes anxiety and depression. We all know that future is uncertain. It could be related to your job, school, family etc. Everything happens for good and for a reason. Believe in God who loves you and root yourself deep in the love of God and he will secure your future.

Refuse to Quit: You failed? So what. Get up and get back into the game. It's not over yet. Every failure in life is not the end. There is more to it. There is more to learn and improve on. Everything may not be perfect but you can make it perfect. Out of the ashes, beauty rise. You have the power to be successful. Do not give up on life yet, victory is waiting for you.

Stop comparing: You are beautiful. You are blessed. Comparison can ruin your life. there are endless things in this world to compare yourselves to. But you are unique. Quit comparison and believe in your own talents. All you need to do is close your eyes, take a deep breath and believe You are God's marvelous masterpiece.

Proverbs 31:25

"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future."

Be thankful for what you have

Elina's life was brought up in misery and poverty. A cloth to cover herself was a treasure and a spot to rest overnight was a palace to her. She was dismayed at her state and always questioned God about her existence. Her one unanswered question was "Why did you create me if I were to live my life like a wretched?"
God looked at her and smiled.

Elina was walking across the street on a cold windy evening. She was looking for a place to stay. Each day was becoming a struggle for her. The fear of the cold and uncertainty of future haunted her. She managed to find a place near a tree. She noticed a huge mansion beside the lane. She watched carefully. There lived a long and curly haired young woman. Her face was like an innocent dove. Her name was Laura and was a descendant of a millionaire. Elina thought to herself "Look at that girl, she is so pretty and owns everything on this earth. God, why are you unjust?"
God looked at her and smiled.

She walked towards another place since she couldn't bear the pain. She walked and was tired and troubled. Suddenly a limousine pulled out before her. A woman decked in vanity stepped out of it. She blew a cigar and walked towards the pharmacist. Elina saw and was disappointed again. She asked "Why she has the expensive car and luxurious life? All I have is nothing."
God looked at her and smiled.

Elina kept walking and stopped near a shop to find some food. She was watching from the corner of the door to the expensive cuisine if she could get any food waste to feed herself. She saw a man there who was eating meat balls. Elina felt upset again and questioned God "Why is he so lucky? He gets to eat everything but not me."
God looked at her and smiled.

Each day misery was her comfort, tears became her food and fear was her clothing. One day Elina died of certain ailment. She went to heaven. God welcomed her to his lap. Elina asked him " Dear God, why did you give me a life of misery and sorrows?

God smiled again and He said "There are many people on the earth who have many things still they compare themselves to everyone else and question me. The pretty girl whom you saw in the mansion, I made her the most beautiful woman but she never revered me. She still complained about everything else. She committed suicide last week. The rich woman you saw, I gave her all the wealth and fame on the earth but she never thanked me. She was obsessed for  money. Her greed and selfishness made her a retard and a drug addict. The man you saw in the food bar, I blessed him with all good things. He had all kinds of cuisine of the world. He travelled across the countries enjoying and eating. But he was never grateful and satisfied. He died at the young age of 32 due to cardiac arrest.

Comparing ourself to this world will never make us happy. Be content in what you have. We never realize the importance of what we have unless we lose it.
